To sell or not to sell — Part 1

Recently, I started a “reselling” business for a luxury brand. The operation flow is to purchase the handbags on their official website and then resell them. It sounds simple yet it is very difficult for you to make a purchase because the handbags are usually sold out in a few seconds.

When I resell the items, I utilise a platform called carousell. I listed my handbags on the platform and users who are interested will reach out.

But this platform has a downside. Most of time, users assume that they can negotiate for a large discount.
